Stalwart Ranch, Normangee Division is a working cattle ranch in the northwestern portion of Madison County. This ranch is predominantly rolling open terrain. Several areas of woods remain for wildlife with Caney Creek crossing the eastern side of the ranch providing waterfowl opportunities. It is fenced into 9 separate pastures with water, either lakes/ponds or a trough in every pasture. One pasture is used as a hay field to produce coastal and Jiggs hay. Fences are in good shape from new to recently reworked. A partially covered heavy made set of pipe working corrals exists with loadout chutes and hold over pen with shed. Location:
12 miles northwest of Madisonville off FM 2289. Also 6 miles southeast of Normangee. The property is east of FM 2289 and accessed off Sparrow Lane, a county-maintained road that dead ends into the ranch property.
Topography:
Rolling land with a slope from west to east towards Caney Creek. Elevation variances are from a high of 380' to 290'. Soil type varies from sandy loam to tighter soils in the bottom area. All is good for growing grass. A small percentage of the ranch would be considered in the floodplain; this area being near Caney Creek.

Other native species of wildlife seen are bobcats, raccoons, coyotes, and an assortment of birds. The ranch offers prime habitat for wildlife and has not been leased for hunting, and only lightly hunted by owners.
