BIOGRAPHY

G.K. (Jeff) Markham is a broker and a co-owner of Markham Realty, Inc. He received his Texas Real Estate Brokers License in May of 1970 and established Markham Realty at that time. His expertise is primarily in land, including acreage investments, small and large ranches, timberlands, hunting properties and recreational tracts. He is also involved in commercial properties in and around Walker County. He attended Sam Houston State University from 1966 to 1970 majoring in Ag-business.

He has been involved in numerous complex land transactions over his 50+ year career. He feels his past experiences are beneficial to his clients. He has been one of the top volume producers in the area for many years. He enjoys this business just as much today as he did when he first started. Jeff is knowledgeable of the market and provides each client with fair and professional service.

He feels that Walker County and the entire surrounding area offer an exciting future, with its beautiful countryside, major connecting highways, located between two of Texas’s most popular lakes and just minutes north of one of the fastest growing areas in the nation.

He is a lifetime member of the Walker County Fair Association, where he served as Vice President for 6 years and Rodeo Chairman for 12 years. He is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Huntsville and is a lifetime member of the SHSU Alumni Association. His professional affiliations include local, state and national Realtor® Associations, Texas Land Brokers Network in which he served a term as director, Texas Alliance of Land Brokers, and South Texas Property Rights Association.

His hobbies include quail hunting, team roping, and saltwater fishing. Roping and quail hunting have been his passions since childhood. He is a current member of American Quarter Horse Association, Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, World Series of Team Roping, United States Team Roping Championship, South Texas Chapter of Quail Coalition and Coastal Conservation Association.

He maintains a herd of Corriente cattle, continuing to ranch in Walker and Kleberg County.
